The Systembase TALUS USB To Bluetooth Adapter adds Bluetooth communication to a laptop or a PC. It is Class 1 equipment and supports Bluetooth v4.0 + EDR. It can be used to communicate with or manage the devices in a large factory, industrial or commercial building at up to 100 meters (further in an open area).

Enhanced Communication Distance
Using Bluetooth to connect to a variety of devices based on the communication range is classified into three classes. Class 1 (the Bluetooth Class provided in the Systembase TALUS) offers a communication distance of up to 100m, Class 2 is 30m, and Class 3 supports communications up to 10m.
Bluetooth v4.0 + EDR
‘EDR’ stands for ‘Enhanced Data Rate’. The EDR standard allows fast data transfer technology in Bluetooth communication. Bluetooth was initially developed to support communication speeds up to 1Mbps, but when the EDR function is used, the maximum communication speed is increased up to 3Mbps. Thus TALUS allows more rapid communication.

Bluetooth can use specific profiles for its required field. The Systembase TALUS supports SPP (Serial Port Profile), HID (Human Interface Device), A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), and many more. Therefore, users can use the TALUS Bluetooth Adapter to connect to a number of devices.
